From a Problematic Pool to a Private Wellness Retreat
The existing pool before renovation: an outdated system suffering from leaks and operational issues.
1. Initial Condition: An Old Pool with Persistent Leakage Problems
This project was not built from scratch. Mr. Nabi's residence already had a swimming pool,
but it had long been affected by leaks, structural cracks, and ongoing operational issues.
Although several repair attempts had been made over the years, none provided a permanent solution.
After taking over the project, our first step was to conduct a detailed condition assessment:
Cracks and vulnerable areas within the reinforced concrete structure,
High-risk connection points in the existing plumbing system,
Construction details increasing the risk of water leakage.
The conclusion was clear: rather than continuing with temporary repairs, the entire system needed to be redesigned and rebuilt properly.
Waterproofing and fine plastering stage – precise surface preparation before mosaic installation.
2. Structural Preparation, Waterproofing and Glass Mosaic Finishing
After completing the necessary demolition work and structural corrections, we adapted the pool to the requirements of the new design. The next stage focused on the critical construction processes that ensure long-term durability and watertight performance:
Fine plastering works to create perfectly smooth surfaces,
Professional pool waterproofing systems for long-lasting protection against leakage,
Premium glass mosaic finishes offering both aesthetics and durability.
Special attention was given to corners, steps, and skimmer openings, where all surfaces were prepared with millimeter-level precision to ensure flawless installation and long-term performance.
Equipment room – filtration, salt chlorination, and hydrotherapy systems were carefully organized.
3. Mechanical Filtration, Salt Chlorination and Hydrotherapy Systems
The mechanical systems, which form the heart of the swimming pool, were completely renewed. Existing pipework was upgraded and an entirely new technical infrastructure was installed:
Skimmer filtration system designed according to hydraulic flow and circulation calculations,
Salt chlorination system for comfortable and consistent water quality,
Pool heating system providing year-round water temperature control,
Jet stream swimming system for swimming in place,
Back massage nozzles delivering targeted hydrotherapy benefits,
Waterfall feature enhancing both aesthetics and relaxation.
All equipment within the plant room was installed in a logical layout, ensuring easy maintenance access and long-term operational efficiency.
A warm and inviting atmosphere created by LED underwater lighting.
4. LED Lighting and Automated Timer-Controlled Operation
In indoor swimming pools, lighting is one of the most important design elements shaping the character of the space. For this reason, high-efficiency LED underwater luminaires were selected for the project. Positioned to provide uniform light distribution, these fixtures enhance visual comfort while eliminating shadows and dark zones that can occur in enclosed environments. The result is a brighter, more spacious atmosphere with a stronger perception of depth. Thanks to the low energy consumption of LED technology, the lighting system also offers long service life and minimal maintenance requirements.
The filtration, massage, and heating systems are all managed through an automated timer-controlled control unit. This allows circulation, disinfection, and comfort systems to operate automatically at optimized intervals throughout the day without requiring user intervention. The system not only improves operational efficiency and provides energy savings, but also ensures consistent water quality and reliable pool performance. This automation approach guarantees that the indoor pool remains hygienic, ready for use, and comfortable at all times.
Regular maintenance ensures reliable operation and long-term performance.
5. Successful Completion and Ongoing Maintenance Support
The project was completed and delivered on a turnkey basis in 2023. Not only the finishing works, waterproofing, and construction phases, but also all mechanical systems were commissioned and tested under a single integrated scope of work.
Today, the pool that once suffered from persistent leakage issues has been transformed into a quiet, comfortable, and consistently reliable indoor swimming pool.
If your existing pool is experiencing leakage issues, deteriorating finishes, or operational problems, we can transform it into a modern indoor swimming pool or hydrotherapy pool through proper engineering and professional renovation solutions.
