Pool Automation Systems

Pool automation system is a smart solution that centrally controls filtration, chemical dosing, heating, and lighting from a single control point.

Pool maintenance and operation is a task that requires time and constant attention. In order for your pool to be constantly clean and healthy, it needs attention like a constant baby care. Pools that cannot be maintained on time will react instantly and cause an unhealthy water quality.

Chemical dosing not done in time, backwash sweep, brushing, etc. situations such as these cause the pool water to become degraded and contaminated. Therefore, especially our family or guests will have to swim in an unhealthy environment. The better and more fun swimming in a healthy swimming pool, the more bad it is to swim in an unhealthy and dirty pool.

The water quality of a healthy swimming pool must be of drinking water quality. To do this, the operating maintenance instructions required to comply with the water quality requirements set out in the regulations of the Ministry of Health must be carried out on time. If maintenance is disrupted, water quality will change momentarily.

The pool automation system will undertake maintenance that you are unable to perform on time due to your work intensity or for various reasons. It will even ensure that pool water is healthy water in the quality of the drinking water, and it will continuously control your pool as a momentary safe autocontrol.

Pool maintenance is now much easier with the pool auto control system. The pool automation system will automatically run the pool, so whether you're on the watch screen or on your smartphone, tablet or PC, you can track it at any time. You'll be able to control it with remote tracking without leaving your seat. You will also be able to personalize this system in line with the demands you want.

The automation system, which constantly monitors the pool system, generates warnings when intervention is required and allows the pool operator to perform the necessary interventions.

With pool automation systems, you will be able to monitor or control the following topics at your request

2- Sand Filter Control:

Depending on the size of the sand filter, the system may be equipped with an automatic six-way valve or a five-way valve group. Although these systems differ in structure, they serve the same purpose. This system monitors and controls the operating status of the filtration system, real-time filter contamination, instant pressure levels, and inlet and outlet flow rates of the filter. Based on the level of filter contamination, the system automatically switches from filtration mode to backwash and rinse modes, and then returns to the initial filtration position. By continuously monitoring pressure values, the system can stop operation before any potential issues occur in the filter or piping and notify the pool operator with an alert. Using flow meters installed at the sand filter inlet and outlet, the system automatically monitors the incoming and outgoing water flow rates pumped through the system and responds accordingly to any decreases or increases in flow, informing the pool operator when necessary.

3- Backwash and Rinse:

Sand filters must be backwashed and rinsed depending on the level of contamination. The system is designed to automatically detect filter contamination and initiate the backwash and rinse processes accordingly. After completing the backwash and rinse cycles for the predefined duration set via the PLC, the system automatically returns to the initial mode (filtration position). In some cases, filter contamination may take a long time to occur. To ensure a healthy and efficient system, the automation is designed to perform backwash and rinse operations up to four times per month regardless of the contamination level. The monthly backwash schedule can be freely configured via the PLC settings menu, allowing the system to perform the operation 1, 2, 3, or 4 times per month as desired.

Pool Automation

Settings:

You can access all settings related to the automation system by tapping the settings button shown in the image. In this section, system operating parameters, scheduling settings, and control options can be easily and securely configured based on user authorization levels.

Pool Automation

Settings – 1, 2, 3,:

After entering the settings section, the date and time must be checked to ensure proper system operation. To adjust the date and time, simply click once on the relevant field and enter the current date or time in the dialog boxes that appear.

During the specified daytime and nighttime operating periods, the system will activate the number of pumps defined in the next settings section for day and night operation. This allows the system to run at full capacity during the day and at the desired level at night, ensuring that the pool’s chemical balance and temperature values remain stable.

In addition, daytime and nighttime operating power levels can be defined. Pump frequency settings for day and night operation can also be adjusted.

For pool vacuuming operations, the pump power capacity can be adjusted on this page to prevent hose collapse and to ensure more efficient and effective cleaning.

Pool Automation

In the second settings section, there is a shutdown pressure parameter defined as the RED ALARM. This part is programmed so that the system automatically shuts itself down at 1.4 bar. The button is for monitoring purposes only and is not activated.

By entering the maximum backwash pressure value, the system ensures that backwashing starts automatically when the filters reach this pressure during operation. In addition, it is possible to define how many filters and pumps will operate during backwashing and rinsing, as well as their operating duration. Even if the filters are not dirty, automatic backwashing and rinsing should be carried out at regular intervals each month. For this purpose, automatic backwash and rinse cycles can be scheduled up to a maximum of 4 times per month by selecting days between 1 and 28 (due to February). Simply entering the desired days into the on-screen button is sufficient. If the system consists of multiple groups, the start time of the next group after the first backwash cycle can also be defined here.

Pool Automation

At the bottom section, there are buttons used to activate or deactivate the pumps and filters. If a pump or filter experiences a fault or requires maintenance, it can be temporarily disabled with a single click until the issue is resolved. When equipment is taken out of service, its button will be highlighted in RED on the screen.

In the lower area, the pumps operate in a redundant mode using an equal run-time (duty rotation) method. This ensures balanced usage and extended equipment life. The operating hours of each pump can also be monitored in this section.

Pool Automation

Settings – 4:

The lower and upper limit values for pressure, as well as the minimum and maximum limits for flow meters, can be defined in this section. When pressure limits are set within safe operating ranges, real-time pressure monitoring helps prevent potential issues caused by sudden pressure increases in the piping and system.

By configuring the flow meter limits, the system ensures accurate control of the water flow passing through the installation, providing a balanced and homogeneous water circulation throughout the pool system.

Pool Automation

Settings – 5:

Water temperature control is provided in this section. By entering the desired pool water temperature, the system maintains the water at the set temperature. Keeping the pool water constantly at the desired temperature ensures a more comfortable and enjoyable swimming experience.

The screen saver can be activated to switch the system to sleep mode if desired. While the screen is dimmed, the system continues to perform all operations automatically in the background. When the screen saver is active, touching the screen allows access to monitoring and settings again. If no further action is taken, the system will automatically switch to sleep mode within 10 minutes.
