Plant Room Renovation, Mechanical System Refurbishment, and Pool Recommissioning
The private swimming pool at Prestige Villa in Şile, Istanbul, had become completely inoperative after the plant room was flooded. As a result of the flooding, the filtration equipment, electrical control panel, and automation systems suffered severe damage, making the pool unsafe for operation.
Our technical inspection revealed not only the damage caused by the flooding but also that the existing mechanical and electrical systems had not been designed to match the pool's capacity. The filtration equipment was undersized, while the electrical control panel was incomplete and did not comply with engineering standards.
As part of the project, the entire plant room was completely redesigned. The filtration system was upgraded to match the pool's capacity, and an Antech Salt Chlorinator along with an automatic pH dosing system was installed. The electrical control panel was fully replaced, incorporating time-controlled automation, motor protection devices, and residual current protection to provide a safe and reliable operating system.
Following approximately 10 days of mechanical refurbishment, automation installation, and commissioning work, the pool was restored to modern operating standards and delivered to the villa owners in a safe, fully operational condition.

Prestige Villa Pool Renovation, Mechanical System Refurbishment and Commissioning
Before the renovation, the mechanical system required maintenance and refurbishment after remaining unused for an extended period.
1. Plant Room Flooded, Pool Became Completely Inoperable
The swimming pool at Prestige Villa in Şile, Istanbul became completely unusable after the plant room was flooded. The flooding severely damaged the filtration equipment, electrical control panel, automation system, and numerous mechanical components, making the pool unsafe for operation.
Our initial technical assessment revealed not only the damage caused by the flooding but also that the existing system had not been designed to match the project's required capacity. The filtration equipment was undersized, the electrical control panel lacked essential protection devices, and there was no automatic chemical control system. Rather than replacing only the damaged components, it was decided to redesign the entire system according to proper engineering standards.
Inspection of equipment damaged by flooding
Complete cleaning of the plant room
Technical evaluation of the filtration system
Detailed inspection of the electrical control panel
Assessment of pumps and valve assemblies
Planning of a new system suitable for the pool's capacity
This project evolved beyond routine maintenance into a comprehensive mechanical refurbishment involving the complete reconstruction of the plant room in accordance with modern engineering standards.
Installation of the Antech Salt Ionic chlorinator and automatic pH dosing system.
2. The Plant Room Was Completely Redesigned with Modern Technology
All damaged mechanical systems were removed, and the plant room was completely reorganized. Every component was selected according to the pool's volume, required flow rate, and daily usage capacity, then installed based on proper engineering calculations.
The Antech Salt Ionic Chlorinator installed as part of the project continuously converts the natural salt dissolved in the pool water into active chlorine through electrolysis, providing balanced and continuous disinfection. By significantly reducing the need for chemical chlorine, this technology creates a healthier, more comfortable swimming environment with lower operating costs.
An automatic pH dosing system was also integrated into the installation to continuously monitor and maintain the pool water's pH level. This improved disinfection efficiency while ensuring that the water remained chemically balanced over the long term.

Automatic pH Dosing System
Chemical injection line
Filtration system refurbishment
Replacement of pumps and valve assemblies
Complete plant room reorganization
Refurbishment designed for energy-efficient operation
As a result, the outdated and disorganized plant room was transformed into a modern technical facility that is safe, easy to maintain, and capable of reliable long-term operation.
The new electrical control panel enabled the entire system to operate safely and automatically.
3. Safe Commissioning with a New Electrical Control Panel
One of the most significant upgrades in the project was the complete replacement of the electrical control system. The previous control panel no longer met modern safety or automation standards. It was entirely removed and replaced with a new electrical control panel designed specifically for the capacity of the pool equipment.
The new panel includes motor protection circuit breakers, contactors, thermal overload protection, residual current protection, and a time-controlled automation system. The filtration pump, pool lighting, and auxiliary equipment were reprogrammed to operate automatically according to predefined operating schedules.
After commissioning the mechanical systems, the pool water underwent professional water conditioning. Filtration performance tests were completed, the chemical balance was established, and the pool quickly achieved crystal-clear water quality.

After approximately 10 days of work, the Prestige Villa swimming pool was successfully recommissioned with a modern plant room, automatic chemical control system, Antech salt chlorination technology, and a safe electrical infrastructure, then delivered to the villa owners in fully operational condition.
Professional Pool Renovation and Mechanical System Refurbishment Services
Recommissioning a swimming pool that has been out of service for an extended period requires much more than simply replacing the pool water. The mechanical installation, filtration system, automation infrastructure, electrical control panel, and water treatment systems must all be evaluated together using a proper engineering approach.
At Artemis Pool Systems, we restore old swimming pools to safe operation with modern technology by providing mechanical refurbishment, automatic dosing systems, salt chlorination systems, and professional commissioning services.
The most frequently asked questions about the Prestige Villa swimming pool renovation, mechanical refurbishment, and commissioning project in Şile, Istanbul.
Yes. However, simply replacing the pool water is not sufficient. The filtration system, pumps, electrical control panel, valve assemblies, and water treatment equipment must all be thoroughly inspected. After the necessary refurbishment is completed, the pool can be safely recommissioned.
Flooding in the plant room can severely damage the electrical control panel, automation systems, dosing pumps, chlorine generators, and electric motors. Therefore, the entire system should be professionally inspected, and any unsafe equipment should be replaced with properly sized components.
Salt chlorinators convert the natural salt dissolved in pool water into active chlorine through electrolysis. They reduce the need for chemical chlorine, provide softer water, minimize eye and skin irritation, and ensure continuous, balanced disinfection.
An automatic pH dosing system continuously maintains the pool water within the ideal pH range. This allows the disinfection system to operate at maximum efficiency, reduces chemical consumption, and keeps the pool water clear for longer.
Improperly designed or water-damaged electrical panels can damage equipment and create serious safety risks. The system should operate with correctly rated circuit breakers, contactors, thermal protection, residual current protection, and time-controlled automation.
Depending on the scope of the project, mechanical refurbishment, automation installation, water treatment, and commissioning are generally completed within 7 to 15 days. In this project, all work was completed in approximately 10 days.
Yes. Existing pools can be upgraded by refurbishing the mechanical infrastructure and integrating automatic pH control, salt chlorination systems, time-controlled filtration, LED lighting, and remotely controlled automation solutions.
Artemis Pool provides pool renovation, mechanical system refurbishment, filtration systems, salt chlorination systems, automatic dosing systems, electrical control panels, pool automation, plant room renovation, pool maintenance services, and turnkey commissioning solutions.
